Staff of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, have presented an award for outstanding leadership to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva.
Sylva was presented the award during the 2022 Civil Service Week, which was held in Abuja at the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC, headquarters.
Addressing the staff, the minister pledged to leave a legacy of better wages, stating that the work of members of staff is important to the economy of the country.
While presenting the award, the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Kamoru Olajimeji Busari, noted that through the leadership of Sylva, members of staff in the ministry have been inspired to give their best.
The Civil Service Week also witnessed awards to directors in the ministry, members of staff, and letters of commendation to some deserving staff, as well as awards to others who distinguished themselves.
Two members of staff who received the awards, Ibrahim Suleiman and Bamidele Dada were also shortlisted for the presidential awards.
