The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has received a donation of 50 tonnes of dates from the Saudi Arabia Embassy.
This contribution aims to aid Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, across Nigeria.
In a statement by Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, Rhoda Ishaku, said “The handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, where His Excellency, Ambassador Adamu Ibrahim Lamuwa, the Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs, officially presented the dates to Abel Enitan, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.”

Ambassador Lamuwa stated at the event that the relations between Nigeria and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia goes beyond donations. We will not disappoint”, he said.Present at the event were the Director Humanitarian Affairs, Ezulu Valentine, Management staff of Humanitarian Ministry as well as Ambassadors and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
