Aare (Hon.) Tolu Bankole, a member of the APC National Working Committee, has extended his congratulations to Ogun State Governor, His Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun (CON), on his unanimous nomination as Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum.
In a statement, Bankole
sent his congratulatory message, noting Governor Abiodun’s exceptional leadership and commitment to regional development, underscoring the confidence his esteemed colleagues have placed in his ability to lead the Forum towards governance excellence.
“The appointment of Prince Dapo Abiodun as Chairman is a testament to his outstanding leadership qualities and his dedication to advancing the development of Southern Nigeria,” said Bankole. “We are confident that under his stewardship, the Southern Governors’ Forum will thrive, contributing significantly to the prosperity and progress of our beloved nation.”
Bankole also congratulated Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State on his election as Vice Chairman, commending all governors involved for their dedication to fostering unity and development in the region. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Federal Government to harness synergies and resources necessary for comprehensive regional development.
“By fostering a cooperative relationship with the Federal Government, Southern Nigeria can effectively address infrastructure challenges, economic disparities, and security concerns,” Bankole noted. “Such collaboration not only enhances developmental outcomes but also ensures equitable distribution of resources and opportunities across the entire nation.”
Furthermore, Bankole stressed the importance of transcending party lines within the Southern Governors’ Forum to achieve sustainable development goals. He called for prioritizing unity and consensus-building across different political affiliations, viewing political diversity as a strength that enriches policy discussions and fosters innovative solutions to complex challenges.
