We’re going to start a business and make a lot of money.” You don’t know the first thing about tomorrow. You’re nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing. Instead, make it a habit to say, “If the Master wills it and we’re still alive, we’ll do this or that.” James 4:13-15 Message Bible.
I welcome you today to another inspiration of the heart and I rejoice with you for being alive. I pray that God Almighty will continually uphold you with His grace and mercy in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Have you ever seen dew in the hot afternoon before? Dew and sunny days aren’t in sync with each other. As you are making progress in life, stay humble.
I am dedicating today’s Nugget to one of the rarest personality that I have known. He was born on the 15th of June, 1956 and took his last breath at about 9:30pm in Maryland, USA where he was for his routine medical checkup on the 7th of August 2023.
That person is no other than my true father in the Lord, Pastor Taiwo Daniel Odukoya, who called me few weeks ago. I never knew (nor did he know) that it will be the last conversation.
Our paths crossed each other at a time our Ministry was ‘headless’ over a decade ago and the Lord told me that he was my ‘Pastor’ and confidant. He took me as a friend and son, and I will never forget the day he stepped into our Church with his late wife, Pastor Nomthi. Oh death where is your sting?
I can’t claim to know him so much but I have come to know few things about him since our relationship started that have become ingrained in me.
You reading and me doing the writing, do we know our time?
My pastor was building a property in the care of one of his daughter in the Lord. He only told me to go see the property at the location and get back to him. Lo and behold, he passed on the day the roofing was to commence.
What is life? He never saw the property except through video call. His daughter in the Lord who is a friend, asked me few days ago if this death was a joke.
Oh grave, where is thy victory?
Very few people can withstand what the man fondly called Pastor Tee went through and still be standing but in all, we judge God Almighty faithful. I want his immediate family, the children (Jimmy, Tolu, Tobi, Jomiloju and Timilehin Odukoya) to be strong, the entire family of The Fountain of Life Church and all those far and near to be strong.
Vapours are not meant to last forever and know that we are like vapour or fogs. Live well today because tomorrow is not in your hands.
Our politicians keep on sharing monies amongst themselves for vacations and self-aggrandizement when our health care system is in tatters and insecurity is the order of the day. God is watching!
How many times have you heard of a popular politician or pastor from any Western country dying in Nigeria?” The other way round is what we always hear. If we have a good health care system, my Pastor’s corpse will not be flown for hours to Nigeria.
May God help our Politicians to hear what God is saying and do what is right. Let us all know that our days are numbered and one day will be One day.
In closing, I believe that God Almighty has a great plan for us but it is conditional as you connect to Him. Now that you know that we are all fog, let’s be careful to walk in humility and it shall be well with us all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
