Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has said President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has the potential to end hunger and poverty in the country.
In a statement,by her Media Aid, Rasheed Zubir, Edu outlined the government’s vision for a brighter future.
“Our dear president needs the collective support of Nigerians to enable him to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at ushering in a new lease of life for everyone,” Minister Edu declared.
She continued, “President Tinubu’s commitment to ending hunger and multi-dimensional poverty in Nigeria is unwavering.”
Highlighting her ministry’s role in addressing humanitarian crises, Minister Edu remarked, “including a reduction in humanitarian crises, which my Ministry is spearheading.” She urged all Nigerians to rally behind this vital agenda, emphasizing its potential to bring about positive change in the lives of millions.
Edu also took a moment to call on the nation’s youth, expressing her belief in their power to contribute to Nigeria’s greatness. “As a youth myself, I call on the young people to see the survival and greatness of Nigeria as tasks that must be done,” she asserted. “Let’s, therefore, celebrate our 63rd independence anniversary with joy and pride, knowing that we belong to a great country with a rich history and bright future.”
Edu reiterated the importance of this day, stating, “Our country’s 63rd independence anniversary presents us with a beautiful opportunity to rededicate ourselves to upholding the ideals of our founding fathers and the goals of the present administration.”
