The THISDAY ALUMNI Association has congratulated the Chairman of THISDAY/ARISE Media Group, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, on winning the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award at the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence, DAME.
The award recognizes Prince Obaigbena’s remarkable contributions to the media landscape, not only in Nigeria but across Africa and beyond.
The THISDAY Alumni Association, in a letter signed by its President, Dr. Tony Onyima and the Secretary Justina Taiwo-Obalonye, acknowledged Prince Obaigbena’s visionary leadership, dedication, innovation, and courage that have played a pivotal role in shaping journalism in Nigeria.
The alumni applauded Prince Obaigbena’s commitment to excellence, integrity, and professionalism, which they said has been an inspiration to many aspiring journalists, both locally and internationally.
The letter adds that “His efforts to champion press freedom, provide a voice for the marginalized, and foster meaningful conversations within society have been exemplary throughout his illustrious career.”
