The leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, led by its National Legal Adviser, Abdulkarim Kana, have welcomed former New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP Senatorial candidate, Mohammed Wakili, back into the party’s fold.
This event took place at the APC national secretariat, where Kana expressed gratitude to party members in Keffi Local Government Council, especially the executive committee, for expanding APC membership in Nasarawa state.
He assured that concerns about local leadership would be addressed constitutionally, pledging to restore order within the APC in Keffi.
He said, “I must acknowledge your effort and thank you very much for what you have done. One assurance I must convey to you is that, it will not go unnoticed. The national chairman and the party, will ensure that you all get rewarded for the effort you have made in ensuring that the party becomes victorious.”
According to him, “The policy of the present administration of the party under the able leadership of Abdullahi Ganduje, is to see that as much as possible, the party gets more members to reinvigorate and revitalize the party to make the party bigger and stronger. The party’s doors are open to new memberships.
“I can assure you that the letter will be treated accordingly, and the action will be taken in line with the constitutional provisions of the APC constitution. So that at the end of the day, at least calm, some peace, and orderliness will be brought back to the APC in Keffi Local Government.”
Earlier, the decampee, Mohammed Wakili, expressed loyalty to the APC, emphasized unity within the party and praised Governor Ganduje’s leadership.
He foresaw APC emerging as the best political party in Nigeria by the 2027 elections.
He said, “We have come to share this moment with our son, our brother, and our father, who is the only person that God Almighty has given us as a national executive member of the ruling party in Nigeria, APC. Our purpose here today is to congratulate him, harmonize political issues, and find ways to elevate the APC to greater heights.
“I call on everyone to avoid politics of thuggery, hatred, and disunity. Nigeria fundamentally needs peace, the bedrock of every development. Without peace, there is no progress. Thank the APC government for the developments witnessed during Former President Buhari’s tenure, such as the express road into my community and improvements in various parts of the country. This is the work of APC, he said “.
