AEA signs MoU for management of fashion hub in Abaji

The Abuja Enterprise Agency, AEA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AFS Vocational Hub to ensure quality and sustainable management of the Agency’s newly equipped Fashion Hub in Abaji Area Council.

The development, the agency says is in line with President Tinubu’s mandate to provide economic empowerment for rural dwellers in the six Area Councils of FCT in particular and the country at large.

While signing the agreement at the headquarters of the Agency, in Jahi-Abuja, the Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Abuja Enterprise Agency, Chudi Ugwuada-Ezirigwe, declared that the move was in tandem with the mandate of the agency which focuses greater part of its activities in the rural areas of the Territory.

Ezirigwe, further hinted that the agency is working to sign similar agreements with serious minded private organizations, with proven track records in the management of digital fashion hub, thereby giving rise to proposed establishment of modern fashion institutes across the six Area Councils of FCT, within the year.

He maintained that the MoU is in fulfilment of the core mandate of the agency as a vehicle for wealth creation, employment generation and poverty eradication.

While pointing at the huge potentials and prospects of the fashion industry, Ezirigwe expressed optimism that the industry has the capacity to take thousands of youths off the streets.

Earlier, the CEO of AFS Vocational Hub, Femi Oladosu, who pledged the commitment of his organization to bring to bear years of tested experience in the fashion industry, stressed that AFS has carved a niche for itself by facilitating several trainings locally and internationally.
