Ministry inaugurates reforms committee, awards staff

In a strategic move to elevate the Federal Civil Service, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (FMHAPA) has inaugurated a 15-member Reform Coordination and Innovation Committee. 

In a statement  issued by Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations.Rhoda Iliya, stated that the committee, was launched in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary Mr. Abel Enitan, aims to drive creativity and enhance service delivery within the Ministry, in alignment with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP 25).

Mr. Enitan emphasized that the committee’s mission is to foster significant improvements in public administration through innovative ideas and enhanced processes. He urged the committee members to adhere strictly to their Terms of Reference and highlighted the importance of innovation in refining the public sector.

Additionally, Mr. Enitan awarded outstanding staff for their punctuality and professionalism. He noted that recognizing and rewarding excellence is essential for boosting morale and enhancing service delivery.

The Director of Reform Coordination and Service Improvement Department, Mr. Barry Odii, remarked that the committee aims to integrate departmental efforts and promote teamwork. The event also saw accolades from the Deputy Director of the Civil Service Transformation Department, Mrs. Gloria C. Azoro, who praised the Ministry’s efforts and expressed optimism for the future of public service.

The ceremony was attended by various directors and officials from the Ministry and the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).
