NCWS  Celebrates Eid-Adha with Muslim Community

The National Council for Women Societies, NCWS, led by Acting National President Mrs. Geraldine Ita Etuk, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the globe on the occasion of Eid-Adha.

This special celebration commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) unwavering faith and willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command. It is a moment for deep reflection, profound gratitude, and joyful celebration.

In a statement by Mrs. Etuk, she highlighted the values of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion that Eid-Adha embodies. She also praised the Muslim community for their spirit of love, kindness, and generosity, which enriches the fabric of society. 

The statement reads: “On behalf of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS), I, Mrs. Geraldine Ita Etuk, Acting National President, extend warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and around the world as they celebrate Sallah Eid-Adha.

“This auspicious occasion, which commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command, is a significant moment for reflection, gratitude, and celebration.

“We acknowledge the values of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion that this celebration embodies and appreciate the spirit of love, kindness, and generosity that defines the Muslim community.
