Barring any last minute change, President Bola Tinubu will today, Monday, November 4, 2024, swear in seven new ministers into his cabinet at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr Bayo Onanuga, revealed this on Sunday via his X handle.

Onanuga said, “President Bola Tinubu will swear in the new seven ministers tomorrow Monday.

“The ministers are Dr Nentawe Yilwatda – Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction; Muhammadu Dingyadi – Minister of Labour and Employment; Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu – Minister of State Foreign Affairs.

“Others are Dr Jumoke Oduwole – Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (Trade and Investment), Idi Maiha – Minister of Livestock Development; Yusuf Ata – Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development; and Dr Suwaiba Ahmad – Minister of State Education.

“The Senate cleared the ministers last week.”

In a major cabinet reshuffle on October 23, the president sacked five ministers; Uju-Ken Ohanenye, the former Minister of Women Affairs; Lola Ade-John, the former Minister of Tourism; Tahir Mamman, the Minister of Education; Abdullahi Gwarzo, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, and Jamila Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development.

The presidency said the dismissal and appointments are part of “eight far-reaching actions to reinvigorate the administration’s capacity for optimal efficiency pursuant of his commitment to deliver on his promises to Nigerians.”
