The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has restored Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, following a Supreme Court ruling.
The commission, in a statement by its National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, on Tuesday announced that its meeting deliberated on the long-standing leadership dispute within APGA.
INEC acknowledged receiving the Supreme Court judgment delivered on November 27, 2024, in Appeal No. SC/CV/824/2024, which confirmed Ezeokenwa’s leadership.
The statement noted that in adherence to the ruling, INEC has restored Barr. Ezeokenwa’s name as the APGA Chairman on its official website.
