US Congressman Scott Perry has made a shocking claim that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has funded terrorist organizations, including Boko Haram. Perry, a Republican from Pennsylvania, made this statement during a hearing of the Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, where he alleged that USAID has been misusing taxpayer funds.
According to Perry, USAID has been sending millions of dollars annually to terrorist groups, including ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Boko Haram. He also claimed that the agency has been funding terrorist training camps and Madrasas. Perry questioned the effectiveness of USAID’s programs, citing a lack of evidence for the construction of 120 schools in Pakistan, which received $136 million in funding.
Perry’s allegations are part of a broader effort to root out waste and corruption in the US government. US President Donald Trump has also called for the closure of USAID, accusing the agency of corruption. Elon Musk, a billionaire and Trump ally, has also criticized USAID, alleging that it engages in rogue operations and has funded bioweapon research.
The allegations have sparked controversy and raised questions about the effectiveness of USAID’s programs and the potential for corruption and misuse of funds.
