Five candidates have advanced to the finale stage of the selection process for the appointment of the Accountant-General of the Federation after qualifying for the oral interview by passing the ICT proficiency test.
The test was conducted for ten candidates who had successfully cleared the initial screening stage, a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Eno Olotu, said.
The oral interview is scheduled for Friday, February 14, 2025, and will serve as a key assessment of the candidates’ leadership skills and strategic vision for managing the office of the Accountant-General.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, has praised the selection process for its transparency and merit-based approach.
Walson-Jack commended the professionalism demonstrated so far, emphasizing that the ICT proficiency test ensured that only the most qualified candidates progressed.
“This process underscores our commitment to accountability, equity, and excellence in public service appointments.
“I am pleased with the progress we have made and confident that the oral interview will help us identify the best candidate for this critical role,” she said.
In addition to the Accountant-General’s selection, the oral interview for seven Permanent Secretaries who previously qualified will also take place on February 14, 2025.
