Gov. Ododo honors Adaba brothers

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has honored the late Chief Patrick Adaba, a former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, and Dr. Tom Adaba, the pioneer Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, describing them as exemplary public servants.

Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Ismaila Isah, in a statement said, “During condolence visits to their families in Abuja, Ododo praised their contributions to Kogi State and Nigeria, saying their legacies would not be forgotten”.

At Chief Patrick Adaba’s residence, the governor said, “The late Chief Patrick Adaba served Kogi State with dedication and selflessness. His contributions to governance and development between 1999 and 2003 remain commendable.”

During his visit to Dr. Tom Adaba’s family, Ododo described him as a pioneer in Nigeria’s broadcasting industry. “Dr. Tom Adaba was a trailblazer whose work at the NBC shaped the country’s media landscape. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of media professionals,” he said.

The governor commended the Adaba family for raising two distinguished personalities. “The Adaba brothers were exceptional individuals whose impact on public service and media is invaluable and indelible,” he added.

Governor Ododo said Kogi State and Nigeria would deeply miss the Adaba brothers, emphasizing their “immense contributions to public service and national development.”
