A member of the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee, NWC, Hon. Tolu Bankole, has thrown his weight behind the party’s candidate, Hon. Elegbeji, in the forthcoming election for the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency.
Bankole, who played a prominent role in the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections, described Elegbeji as the right choice to deliver quality representation for the constituency.
Speaking in Abuja on Saturday, the APC chieftain urged eligible voters in the constituency to unite behind the party’s candidate, insisting that the election would determine the pace of progress and development in Remoland.
“A vote for Elegbeji is a vote for the APC, a vote for our performing Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, and a vote for our dear President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is a vote for the girl child, a vote for women, a vote for competence, continuity, and overall development in Remoland,” he stated.
Bankole stressed that Elegbeji’s emergence in the House of Representatives would help consolidate the massive infrastructural projects initiated by both Tinubu and Abiodun across the Remo axis. According to him, the APC candidate is a competent, visionary, and people-oriented leader with the capacity to bring federal attention to the needs of Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North.
“This is a ‘He-for-She’ and ‘She-for-She’ solidarity movement — a united call for inclusivity, development, and responsive governance. APC all the way, nothing less,” Bankole said.
The NWC member also called on party loyalists, supporters, and residents to come out in large numbers on election day, stressing that the future of the constituency depends on electing experienced and tested leaders.
“For good and quality representation, vote Elegbeji. Together, let us keep Remoland on the path of progress,” he added.
The election for the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency seat is expected to be keenly contested, with the APC banking on its recent electoral successes in Ogun State to secure victory.
