The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has reaffirmed its readiness to deliver a smooth and successful Hajj operation in 2026, with new mechanisms and strategies being put in place to ensure a flawless exercise.
Director of the Board, Mallam Kadiri Edah, gave the assurance in Abuja when he received the newly appointed North Central Zonal Coordinator of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed, and her team on a courtesy visit.
Edah said the Board had already set up adequate structures to guarantee the success of next year’s Hajj, stressing that the agency was adopting new operational strategies to help intending pilgrims achieve a spiritually fulfilling and acceptable pilgrimage.
He also called for NAHCON’s support in tackling the challenges that may arise during the exercise, noting that each year’s Hajj operation comes with its peculiar experiences and logistical demands.
In her remarks, the NAHCON North Central Zonal Coordinator, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed, said the visit was to familiarize herself with the Board and to seek cooperation in the discharge of her duties across the zone.
Hajiya Zainab called for the cooperation of the FCT Board in ensuring a hitch-free Hajj for Nigerians participating in the 2026 pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia.
She emphasised the Commission’s commitment to achieving remarkable Hajj operations in the coming years and solicited the continued support of the FCT Board’s management and staff.
