The senator representing Benue South in the Nigerian Senate, Abba Moro, has lost his son, Peter, in a fatal accident in Mararaba, Nasarawa state.
Victor is reportedly recently returned from Turkey where he studied and was a few days away for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, before the tragic end. In another tragedy, the senator also lost a grandson a few days ago.
In a condolence message to Senator Moro, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, wrote: “To lose a grandson, and then, only days later, a son, is a pain no family should ever have to bear.
“This double bereavement is a deeply difficult moment for the Senate Minority Leader, Distinguished Senator Abba Moro, his wife, and their family.
“Toyin and I extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences, and pray that the Almighty will strengthen them, comfort them, and surround them with His peace through this very dark season.”
