The All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed optimism that 2026 will usher in a brighter, safer and more prosperous Nigeria, urging citizens to remain hopeful and united.
In a New Year message issued on January 1, 2026, in Abuja, and signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said every new year offers Nigerians an opportunity for reflection, gratitude and renewed commitment to the country’s journey of nationhood.
The party thanked Nigerians for their patriotism, resilience and continued support for the APC and the administration of President Bola Tinubu, especially as the government confronts long-standing challenges across key sectors of national life.
According to the APC, the sacrifices made by Nigerians in support of the administration’s deep and focused reforms are beginning to yield visible results, with vital economic indicators showing a steadily rebounding economy and a resurgent nation.
The party said while the reforms came with temporary pains, these difficulties are now easing as macroeconomic stability improves, microeconomic conditions begin to recover, infrastructure delivery expands, agricultural production increases, oil sector output rises and national security strengthens.
The APC stressed that the success of the Tinubu administration is Nigeria’s success, noting that every Nigerian should take pride in the collective progress recorded so far as the country moves towards a future of shared prosperity.
The party also paid special tribute to men and women of the security forces, commending their courage, patriotism and sacrifice in the fight against terrorism, banditry and other violent crimes, while praying for God’s protection over troops on the frontline.
Looking ahead, the APC reaffirmed its commitment to working harder in 2026 to justify the confidence Nigerians have reposed in it as a pan-Nigerian progressive party, while pledging unwavering support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at improving the lives of all citizens.
