The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to former Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Femi John Femi, as part of efforts to sustain institutional continuity within the Nigerian Air Force.
The visit, which took place on March 3, 2026, was described as a reflection of the Service’s tradition of engaging past leaders to preserve institutional memory and strengthen professional values.
Speaking during the meeting, Aneke acknowledged the contributions of former Chiefs to the growth and development of the Nigerian Air Force, noting that past leadership laid the foundation for the Service’s current operational and institutional structure.
He said maintaining regular engagement with predecessors reinforces discipline, professionalism and continuity within the force.
The interaction also provided an opportunity for strategic discussions on sustaining progress in airpower development and strengthening the Nigerian Air Force’s capacity to meet evolving security challenges.
The Nigerian Air Force said the visit aligns with its commitment to upholding established traditions while building on past achievements in defence of the nation.
