Iran’s new leader vows revenge, recounts personal losses

The new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed that the country will avenge those killed in the recent conflict, saying he personally suffered heavy losses during the attacks.

In his first public statement broadcast on state television, Khamenei called for unity among Iranians while acknowledging the pain experienced by families across the country.

He revealed that the violence had claimed members of his own family, including his father and wife.

According to him, “I lost my father, I lost my wife. My sister also lost her child and her husband.”

Khamenei said despite the losses, faith and patience would help the nation endure the difficult moment.

He urged citizens to remain united, stressing that solidarity among the people would be necessary for the country to move forward after the conflict.

The new leader also assured that the government would compensate families affected by the destruction caused by the war.

He added that Iran would not ignore the killing of its citizens, warning that those responsible would face retaliation.

“It is not only about the fact that they martyred our supreme leader, it is about every single countryman that has been killed during the recent war,” he said.
