APC resumes e-registration, mandates NIN for members

The All Progressives Congress has announced the resumption of its electronic membership registration exercise across the country, mandating prospective and existing members to possess a valid National Identification Number.

The party disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the APC, the e-registration exercise will take place in all wards and designated centres nationwide, urging existing members to validate their membership while new members are encouraged to register.

The party stated that only individuals aged 18 years and above with a valid NIN would be eligible to participate in the exercise.

It explained that the initiative was aimed at digitising its membership register and improving the integrity of its database.

“The e-registration exercise is designed to digitise the party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of records and enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions,” the statement read.

The APC added that the move would also promote internal democracy and strengthen its commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria.

The party urged members and intending members to take advantage of the exercise to update their records and be fully integrated into its database.
