A member of the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee, Tolu Bankole, has urged party members and supporters in Osun State to rally behind the party’s governorship candidate, Munirudeen Oyebamiji, ahead of Saturday’s election.
Bankole, in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, called for unity and total mobilisation among APC members across the state to ensure Oyebamiji’s victory.
He said the party’s candidate represented competence, continuity and a brighter future for Osun State, urging members to remain focused despite what he described as attempts to intimidate or divide the party.
The APC chieftain also appealed to party supporters to conduct themselves peacefully during the election and work with security agencies to ensure a free, fair and credible process.
He said all party stakeholders, leaders and supporters must close ranks and work together across the wards and local government areas.
Bankole said the APC national leadership was committed to securing victory for Oyebamiji, describing the election as a contest the party must win.
He urged APC members to turn out en masse on Saturday, vote for the party’s candidate and protect their votes peacefully.
“The light is brighter, and the future is better with AMBO,” he said.
