Intending pilgrims from the Federal Capital Territory will pay N7.67 million for the 2027 Hajj, with the FCT Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board setting September 25, 2026 as the deadline for registration and balance payments.
The Director of the Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, told journalists that the fare was in line with the amount recently announced by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON.
Edah said intending pilgrims who had previously paid N7.5 million or less should now pay the outstanding balance before the registration deadline.
He said the balance must be paid through a bank draft from any commercial bank, payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, on or before September 25.
He stated that the payment “must be through a bank draft, payable to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, from any Commercial Bank on or before 25th September, 2026, being the stipulated Closing Date for the registration exercise”.
The director also urged intending pilgrims who were yet to submit their international passports to do so immediately, warning that failure to do so could lead to the loss of their Hajj slots.
According to him, the passport must remain valid through October 2027 and be accompanied by a photocopy of the National Identification Number, NIN, slip, four recent passport photographs and a completed guarantor’s form, among other requirements.
Edah reaffirmed the board’s commitment to the welfare of FCT pilgrims, including timely airlift, suitable accommodation and quality feeding during the pilgrimage.
