Namadi Sambo urges local patronage for Berger-AFP products

Former Vice President Namadi Sambo has commended Julius Berger’s furniture production subsidiary, AFP, for delivering top-quality furniture and urged local patronage.

Sambo made the call when he visited the AFP exhibition stand at the 2024 Archibuilt Expo organized by the Nigerian Institute of Architects in Abuja.

Sambo expressed his admiration for AFP’s craftsmanship, stating, “With Julius Berger’s AFP division in Nigeria, there is no longer any need to import furniture from abroad. Their products meet the highest standards, and I know they always deliver their best.”

The AFP team, led by Head of Installation, Mr. Mathias Braun, welcomed the former Vice President and highlighted the company’s nationwide expansion to meet growing customer demand.

Braun noted that AFP now operates showrooms in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, providing easy access to durable and stylish furniture for both domestic and industrial needs.

Several other architects, including the President of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, Mobolaji Adeniyi, praised AFP’s products for their precision, design, and minimalistic approach.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed, emphasized that AFP’s attention to detail has consistently elevated the aesthetic quality of spaces.

General Manager of AFP, Oliver Cohnen, reiterated the company’s dedication to excellence, sustainability, and innovation in furniture manufacturing. He noted that AFP’s use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient production processes reflects its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint.

He said, “AFP is a leading figure in the furniture manufacturing industry in West Africa since it was established over 30 years ago. AFP has grown to become one of the largest and most influential furniture manufacturers in the region.

“Our factory, a hub of innovation and craftsmanship, employs nearly 400 skilled professionals who are dedicated to upholding our reputation for excellence,” he added.
