The project, which was unveiled in Abuja over the weekend, seeks to redirect public discourse towards narratives that promote the country’s strengths rather than its shortcomings.

The House 2 House Initiative of Nigeria has launched a nationwide campaign aimed at redirecting citizens’ attitudes and mindset towards building a better Nigeria anchored on unity, peace, and shared prosperity.

Convener of the initiative, Mr. Robert Swem, said the plan was designed to unite Nigerians across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, irrespective of religion, ethnicity, or political leanings. He stressed that building a better Nigeria required citizens to stop projecting only negative images of the country to the outside world.

According to him, House 2 House is a non-partisan organisation dedicated to partnering with government at all levels to foster peace, trust, and togetherness in pursuit of one indivisible nation.

Swem particularly underscored the importance of Nigeria’s youth, who make up more than 60 percent of the population, saying they must not lose hope in the country’s future.

He pledged that the project would confront the pervasive sense of despair among citizens by sustaining campaigns for unity, peace, and prosperity.

In his words: “House 2 House project is an initiative that will galvanize support and reawaken the consciousness of all Nigerians to the need of a peaceful coexistence. We are a non-partisan organisation that is dedicated to the building of one indivisible country for the good of all.”

Swem added that the organisation was keen on mobilising Nigerians around common issues and supporting efforts that advance the collective good. “We are keen on harnessing homogeneous opinions on issues that affect our common good and lend support towards the success of the country,” he stated.

Highlighting the group’s readiness to work with stakeholders, he said: “House 2 House is willing to collaborate with governments at all levels, international and local development partners, and other civil society organisations in propagating ideals that we believe have value addition to the lives of Nigerians as well as our micro communities.”

Swem also disclosed that the organisation had already established structures across the 36 states and the FCT to enable strategic partnerships with interest groups, faith-based organisations, and state actors.

“We are available for genuine engagements that will deepen trust, confidence and nationalism. We have established our presence in the 36 states and FCT Abuja, to facilitate strategic partnerships with willing states and various interest groups,” he said.
