Adokiye, four others appointed Executive Vice Presidents of NNPC Ltd

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd, NNPCL, has appointed its Group Executive Director, Upstream, Adokiye Tombomieye, and four others as Executive Vice Presidents to lead the company.

The company carried out the appointments, recently, in a move to position itself for global competitiveness, in line with the Petroleum Industry Act, PIA.

Coming barely three months after the company was launched by President Muhammadu Buhari, the appointments are viewed as part of the progress being made on its ongoing reforms.

Adokiye was named Executive Vice President, Upstream; while the Group Executive Director, Downstream, Engr. Adeyemi Adetunji will now take the role of Executive Vice President, Downstream.

Others are the Executive Director, Gas and Power, Abdulkabir Ahmed, who will now become the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energies; while Inuwa Danladi has been named the Executive Vice President, Business Services.

Mrs Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan has also been named as the Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Sustainability; while Chidi Momah becomes the General Counsel for the National Oil Company.

It was gathered the move will assist the NNPCL in recruiting expatriates and enable the company benefit from international best practices while taking the shape of an international oil company.

Recall that the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, had on September 21, 2021 completed the incorporation of the NNPC Ltd in accordance with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act 2021, which was signed into law by President Buhari on 16th August, 2021.
