The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential campaign council has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail on security agencies to check the destruction of the party’s billboards in some states.
At the Council’s weekly briefing in Abuja, the Director of Strategic communications of the Presidential campaign council, Chief Dele Momodu, also expressed worry over the attacks on the PDP campaigns train in some states and urged security agencies to always nip such attacks in the bud.
Chief Momodu, however, stressed that the campaign has recorded numerous successes and described the PDP as a unifier the country needs to surmount it’s numerous challenges.
While expressing dissapointment with the recent attack on the home of one of a party chieftain in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, Senator Lee Maeba, Momodu called on the PDP members to remain calm and avoid take laws into their hands.
He urged the National Security Adviser to fulfill his promise of bringing perpetrators of violence during the electioneering period to book.
