The University of Abuja, UniAbuja, has announced the introduction of four new faculties to its growing list of academic programmes.
The university, in a twit on its official handle, @UofANigeria, said the new faculties include “Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Services, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science.”
The institution did not however indicate if courses offered in the faculties are accredited by the National Universities Commission.
Responding to the university’s announcement, one of its followers on Facebook, Chioma Ezeiheukwu, said job well done. However, we trust these courses are accredited and what happened to the Engineering students about a decade ago will not repeat itself. I happen to be one of them and it was a major setback for me.”
Another Facebook user, Sofia Isah Famoyeguna, simply said “A very big congratulations to University of Abuja. Keep growing and keep developing. The sky is definitely university of Abuja starting point. Amen!
Meanwhile, the university’s Institute of Education has announced the commencement of admission into its degree and postgraduate sandwich programmes for the next contact in the 2023 academic session.
