In a significant move aimed at bolstering accountability and efficiency, the National Social Investment Programme Agency,NSIPA, has announced its partnership with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to harmonize and integrate the database of beneficiaries.
This collaboration is set to kickstart NSIPA’s Nationwide Social Investment Programs in January.
During a courtesy visit to the Director General/CEO of NIMC, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, Hajiya Halima Shehu, the National Coordinator and CEO of NSIPA, highlighted the meeting’s purpose to foster dialogue and explore collaboration opportunities.
She explained,”My purpose for this meeting amongst other things is to foster strategic significance of collaborative efforts between NSIPA and NIMC in harnessing data-driven methodologies to ensure the effective delivery of social intervention programs. I am certain that this collaboration will strengthen NSIPA’s commitment to leveraging innovative partnerships and resources to create impactful initiatives that uplift communities and individuals Nationwide” she said.
The focus is on leveraging NIMC’s extensive national database to ensure the effective delivery of social intervention programs and enhance accountability in fund distribution.
Hajiya Halima Shehu expressed her commitment to utilizing data-driven methodologies and innovative partnerships to uplift communities and individuals nationwide, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, of which NSIPA is a key component.
In response, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote assured NIMC’s readiness to collaborate with NSIPA. The aim is to utilize the Commission’s database for more efficient, targeted identification, and better coverage of beneficiaries across various socio-economic segments.
This strategic partnership between NSIPA and NIMC marks a significant step toward eradicating poverty in Nigeria and fulfilling the objectives of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The collaborative efforts are poised to bring about impactful initiatives that address the diverse needs of communities and individuals nationwide.
