Love, unity will transform Nigeria’s economy, says Rev. Ajayi

Founder of Love of Christ Generation Church, C and S, Reverend Esther Ajayi has advocated for love and unity as catalysts for Nigeria’s economic transformation.

Ajayi, who was Speaking during the second rally in Abuja, to raise awareness for her forthcoming event, “Celebrate The Comforter 2024,” while promoting unity and patriotism among Nigerians said,
“We are coming here, we pray for Mr. President. We pray for his family. We pray for this great country. We don’t have any other country that we can call our own except Nigeria. I love Nigeria.”

The religious leader responded to questions fielded by journalists on landmark Supreme Court judgment on Thursday, which granted financial autonomy to local government areas.

She stated “Love is going to turn around everything. You will see the pure love, the pure love that Jesus Christ Himself in that book of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world He gave.” He gave so when we are ready to give, you understand, our best, and it is love that will make us give. It is going to turn that on. Let me tell you, this city, this country, is never to remain the same again.

“The Creator of the whole universe knows my voice. I have a personal relationship and pastoral fellowship with raw love, pure love. We begin to radiate in Nigeria from henceforth and forever. He has told us that this country’s economy is going to turn around for the best. We believe, and on that alone we stand”, she declared.

Rev. Ajayi quoted Psalm 133 and drew from 1 Corinthians 12 to underscore the importance of unity within the body of Christ.

She said, “with the message of love, you can’t miss it. Keep loving. Let me tell you, the book of Psalm 133:1 how beautiful it is for brethren to dwell together in unity, telling the world that the body of Christ is not divided. The book of 1st Corinthians 12, the head cannot say, “I don’t know the nose,” the nose cannot say, “eyes.” We are brothers, we are sisters in unity, in love. This country will move greater and better than we are thinking. “

She expressed confidence in Nigeria’s future, comparing Nigeria’s development journey to that of other nations, like America, which faced challenges but persevered. Despite these challenges, she remains optimistic about Nigeria’s future, while noting issues such as bad roads and security concerns, pointing out that these are global problems.

She said, “Rome was not built in a day. Other countries that you are looking at, they’ve gone through their turbulent waters before it has settled. Let me tell you what they were saying about America about 20 years ago. They said if they don’t go hard on hard drugs, that in another 20 years, there wouldn’t be anybody to rule America. They put all their minds behind that and look at where America is now. They are not yet there, but they are still moving. So, like our country, we are developing. At some point, we are going to get there.

“Let me tell you, about six weeks ago, I took it upon myself and my husband—we came to Abuja by road. We were enjoying ourselves as we were dancing. See, we got to Lokoja, we got to Ife. On the road, we bought bread, we bought corn. The bad roads are bad.

“Those are in other countries as well. Kidnappers are in other countries. It happened in Atlanta. Tomorrow, they still announce at the airport that if you see anything that is not good, notice that some people are kidnapping children. It’s all over the world. It depends on our world. Trouble is everywhere. And I pray Almighty God is going to turn the situation of our country around for the best in the name of Jesus.

Rev. Ajayi shared her personal experiences visiting different churches, including the Redeemed Christian Church of Christ, Canaan Land, and the Methodist Church, emphasizing that as long as the name of the Lord Jesus is being called, she is in support. She also acknowledged her mentors, including Baba SK from the Christ Apostolic Church.

The event, “Celebrate The Comforter 2024,” will take place on July 20th at the National Stadium’s main bowl in Abuja, starting at 7:00 PM.
