Deputy Speaker, Sarkin Kano join NNIIF’s Abuja conference

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, and the Sarkin Kano, His Royal Highness Khalifa Sanusi II, are set to attend the Nkata Ndi Inyom Igbo Foundation, NNIIF conference in Abuja on December 3, 2024, at the Sandralia Hotel.

The conference, themed “Driving Transformation through Value Re-orientation, Inclusive Leadership, and Sustainability,” aims to foster national unity, productivity, and development through open dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

This year’s event will bring together leaders, policymakers, and advocates to address pressing national issues, with a lineup of prominent speakers including Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, H.E. Dave Umahi, H.E. Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Osita Chidoka, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and H.E. Labaran Maku, among others.

Founded by former Minister of Women Affairs, Iyom Josephine Anenih, the NNIIF is dedicated to fostering unity and societal progress through open dialogue on values and development. The organization’s name, “Nkata,” meaning conversation in Igbo, reflects its mission to use dialogue as a tool for addressing Nigeria’s challenges. The foundation’s motto, “Partnering for Development,” emphasizes the complementary roles of men and women in driving growth and progress.

NNIIF National Publicity Secretary Nnedinso Ogaziechi highlighted the conference’s focus on reviving shared values and fostering sustainable leadership, saying, “We aim to promote meaningful dialogue on the pathways to national cohesion and development.”

Ogaziechi also acknowledged the Nigerian media’s support in advancing NNIIF’s goals. “We appreciate the media’s role in fostering national unity and supporting our vision of solution-driven dialogue,” she added. “Our goal is to create a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering bonding, and inspiring actionable conversations.”

After previous conferences in Lagos and Enugu, NNIIF hopes this year’s gathering in Abuja will create a constructive environment for addressing Nigeria’s challenges and enhancing collaborative leadership across various sectors.
