Barely 24 hours after a Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, powered truck exploded at the Karu bridge along the Nyanya/Keffi expressway killing 10 persons, aother accident has occurred in the area.
The FCT Emergency Management Department, FEMD, which confirmed this in a statement, said no life was lost in the latest accident.
The Head, Public Affairs of the department, Nkechi Isa, said the accident occurred when a truck laden with fertilizer ran into a Hijet and a dump truck also known as tipper.
Nkechi, in the statement quoted the Ag Director General of FEMD Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, as advising motorists to drive with caution as the “Federal Road Safety Corps is taking steps to tow away the affected vehicles in order to avoid traffic built up.”
