The Chairman of the Unity and Reconciliatory Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Jibrin Wowo, has praised President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, for the progress made in road and infrastructure development in Abuja.
Wowo said President Tinubu had shown strong leadership in the last two years and deserved commendation for the visible improvements in the city.
According to him, the completion of the Mabushi Bridge and changes at the Nicon Junction leading to Gwarinpa have helped ease traffic for commuters from Zuba, Kubwa, and Bwari to the Central Business District.
He said, “The temporary pains people faced due to road construction have paid off. Passenger movement is now faster, and people are spending less time in traffic.”
Wowo also praised Minister Wike for taking bold steps to remove bureaucratic bottlenecks and getting the job done.
“Wike came ready to work and has proven that he is capable. His actions show belief in growth and development,” he said.
He called on the government to extend development to areas like Gishiri and ensure fair compensation for those displaced by the road projects.
He added that the reconciliation work of the APC in the FCT had become easier because people could now see the results of the government’s efforts.
“We thank Mr President for not leaving anyone behind,” Wowo said. “This is the kind of leadership our party stands for.”
