Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, met with Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Al-Missned, Founder of the Qatar Foundation, to seek partnership in addressing the Almajiri and out-of-school children crisis in Nigeria.
She said the government is rolling out a new model that blends Islamic and formal education with vocational training, boarding facilities, and safe learning spaces. Sheikha Moza assured her of the Foundation’s support, including teacher and caregiver training in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
During her visit to the Qatar Foundation headquarters, the First Lady noted that 41 Nigerians are already alumni of Muhammad Khalifa University.
