FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has appointed Mr. Sani Musa Daura as his Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters, as part of efforts to strengthen the administration’s coordination and official engagements.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by the minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, who described Daura as a seasoned civil servant with over three decades of experience in the FCTA Protocol Department.
Daura, who rose to become Director of FCT Protocol in 2019, is set to retire from the civil service on January 24, 2026. His appointment as Senior Special Assistant takes effect immediately upon his retirement.
Daura’s several years of experience in protocol management and his extensive understanding of the FCT’s administrative structure were said to be key considerations in his appointment.
