The All Progressives Congress has fixed dates for its 2026 nationwide congresses and national convention, while also constituting a Central Coordination Committee to oversee the convention.
According to an adjusted timetable released by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the membership electronic registration exercise will run from January 31 to February 8, 2026, ahead of ward, local government, state, zonal congresses and the national convention.
Ward congresses are scheduled for February 18, followed by local government congresses on February 21, while state congresses will hold on March 3, 2026. The zonal congresses are slated for March 25 across the six geopolitical zones, with the national convention scheduled for March 27 and 28, 2026.
The party also released the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants seeking party positions at ward, local government, state, zonal and national levels.
In a separate notice, the APC announced the constitution of the Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 national convention, chaired by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.
Other key members of the committee include Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as Vice Chairman and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as Secretary, alongside serving and former governors, lawmakers and party leaders.
The notice, signed by the APC National Secretary, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, stated that details of the committee’s inauguration would be announced in due course.
