NEMA deploys team to assess bandit attack in Kwara communities

The National Emergency Management Agency has deployed a response team to Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State following a recent bandit attack.

The Director-General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, directed the team from the agency’s Minna Operations Office to relocate temporarily to the affected areas to carry out an on-the-ground assessment of the situation and the needs of the communities.

The agency said the assessment would be conducted in collaboration with the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency and relevant security agencies.

NEMA added that relief materials, including food and non-food items, have been arranged to support victims, while the Director-General expressed sympathy with the affected communities and the Kwara State Government.
