Leading construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has unveiled plans to mark the 2026 International Women’s Day with a mix of school outreach programmes and a staff-focused webinar across its regions nationwide.
The company said the celebration, which holds globally on March 8, will be observed in its offices on Friday, March 6, 2026, in line with its internal schedule.
According to the firm, the initiative is tied to this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” and will focus on encouraging and supporting young girls through visits to selected government secondary schools.
Julius Berger disclosed that two schools in Abuja and one school in each of its regions will be visited during the company’s lunch break period on the day of the event. The outreach is expected to feature motivational talks and the distribution of gifts to students, with female staff members serving as volunteers.
The company also announced that a webinar featuring a guest speaker will hold at 4pm on the same day, and will be open to staff members to join virtually.
It stated that the activities are aimed at reinforcing the belief that investing in knowledge, support and opportunity would help build a stronger future generation, in line with the 2026 IWD theme.
International Women’s Day, founded in 1911, is marked every March 8 to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, while also advocating gender equality worldwide.
This year’s celebration marks 115 years of global action and advocacy for women’s rights and inclusion.
