Maikalangu pledges more dividends for AMAC residents in second term

The Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Maikalangu, has pledged to deliver increased democratic dividends to residents following his re-election for a second term.

Maikalangu described his victory as a reflection of the will and confidence of the people, assuring residents that their renewed mandate would translate into greater development across the council.

He thanked voters for their support and promised not to disappoint them, stressing that his administration would consolidate on the gains recorded during his first tenure.

According to him, the second term will prioritise expanded infrastructure, improved primary healthcare services, strengthened basic education, environmental sanitation and community-based empowerment initiatives.

The chairman added that underserved communities would receive greater attention to ensure balanced development across wards.

He also called on political stakeholders, traditional leaders and residents to work together with his administration to sustain peace and accelerate progress in the area council.

Maikalangu reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusive governance, noting that his focus remains on policies that directly improve the living standards of residents.

He vowed to build a stronger and more prosperous AMAC through people-oriented programmes and responsive leadership.
