he All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed that the existing zoning arrangement for National Working Committee (NWC) positions will remain in place ahead of its 2026 National Convention.
In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the party said the zoning formula earlier adopted for the distribution of national offices among the geo-political zones remains valid and will guide the upcoming convention.
The statement, signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, noted that the decision is in line with the party’s published 2026 schedule of nationwide congresses, the national convention and related activities.
According to the party, aspirants intending to contest for national offices are expected to strictly comply with the zoning arrangement when purchasing and submitting their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.
The party urged all interested members to be guided by the existing structure to ensure a smooth and orderly process ahead of the convention.
The APC had earlier released the timetable for its nationwide congresses and national convention as part of preparations to elect new members of the National Working Committee.
