The Nigerian Army has rescued no fewer than 11 kidnapped victims and arrested several suspected terrorists and criminal collaborators in coordinated operations carried out across the country within the last 24 hours.

In a statement shared on Tuesday via its official X handle, the Army said troops recorded significant successes across multiple operational theatres, noting that the missions dealt major setbacks to terrorist groups, rescued victims, and disrupted criminal networks.

According to the statement, in the North-East, troops apprehended a suspected logistics courier linked to the ISWAP/JAS terrorist groups in Ngamdu, Borno State. The suspect reportedly confessed to aiding insurgent activities in Gubio and Magumeri areas.

The Army said the arrest was part of intensified counter-terrorism efforts in the region.

In Monguno, also in Borno State, troops arrested two suspected collaborators associated with a terrorist kingpin. Items recovered from them included four Android phones, three wristwatches, a power bank, two pairs of terrorist uniforms, a mudu of garri, and N135,500.

The statement added that the suspects’ wife and three children were taken into custody for further investigation.

Elsewhere, troops rescued six kidnapped victims in Bauchi State, reinforcing ongoing search-and-rescue operations in affected communities.

In Yobe State, soldiers intercepted a truck in Nguru that was falsely declared to be transporting beverages but was found loaded with a large quantity of medical supplies suspected to be intended for illegal cross-border movement.

The Army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining pressure on terrorist groups and ensuring the safety of citizens across the country.
