A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Durotolu Bankole, has backed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the party’s candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, Bankole described Adeola’s emergence as the APC consensus candidate as a reflection of his leadership capacity, experience and commitment to the development of Ogun State.
He said Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District, has the vision and integrity to build on existing achievements and move the state to greater heights.
Bankole said, “Senator Adeola’s adoption as the party’s candidate is a testament to his proven leadership, vast experience and unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Ogun State.”
He also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for fostering unity within the party, noting that his leadership has strengthened the APC in Ogun State.
He further praised party stakeholders, including former governors and leaders, for ensuring a peaceful consensus process.
The APC chieftain urged party members and supporters to rally behind Adeola ahead of the 2027 election.
