2027: Pro-Tinubu group intensifies PVC collection in Abuja

A political support group, C.G. Musa Group 4 PBAT 2027, has launched a grassroots campaign across the Federal Capital Territory to encourage residents to collect their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The campaign, which kicked off in the Jiwa Chiefdom, is aimed at increasing voter participation by taking PVC awareness directly to communities through traditional institutions and local leaders.
According to the group, the initiative is built around community engagement, with traditional rulers, youth leaders and other stakeholders expected to educate residents on the importance of collecting their PVCs and participating in the electoral process.
Organisers said the campaign would also help bridge communication gaps between the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and eligible voters by providing accurate information on voter registration verification, PVC collection procedures and designated collection centres.
The group explained that working through traditional institutions would make it easier to reach more residents, particularly those at the grassroots, while reducing misinformation surrounding the electoral process.
It added that the maiden sensitisation exercise in Jiwa attracted a large turnout of women, youths and community leaders, a development organisers described as encouraging as they prepare to extend the campaign to other parts of the FCT.
Addressing participants at the rally, the Director of Mobilisation of C.G. Musa Group 4 PBAT 2027, Blessing Moses, described the collection of PVCs as an important civic responsibility and urged eligible Nigerians not to be left out of the democratic process.
“Your Permanent Voter Card is your power to secure Nigeria’s future.
“Collecting your PVC is the ultimate civic duty, and using it to ensure the continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is how we guarantee lasting progress,” Moses stated.
He said sustained participation in elections remains critical to achieving long-term national development, adding that continuity in governance would provide the stability needed for ongoing economic reforms under the Renewed Hope agenda.
Moses urged residents to take advantage of the ongoing opportunity to collect their PVCs, stressing that possession of the card remains the only means through which citizens can exercise their constitutional right to vote.
The group said community leaders participating in the campaign are being equipped with the necessary information to guide residents on how to verify their voter registration status, identify the nearest PVC collection centres and comply with INEC’s guidelines.
Officials of the group’s national secretariat said the success of the Jiwa campaign had strengthened plans to replicate the initiative across other chiefdoms, area councils and wards in the FCT.
According to the organisers, expanding the sensitisation campaign through existing traditional structures will ensure that more eligible voters are reached and that no community is left behind in the build-up to the 2027 general elections.
