Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke, have arrested two suspected human organ traffickers during an intelligence-led operation in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.
The suspects were apprehended at Atongo community following an operation carried out by troops deployed to the area.
Security sources said the suspects are believed to be involved in human organ trafficking, although investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of their alleged activities.
The suspects have since been handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The arrest forms part of ongoing security operations by Operation Whirl Stroke aimed at dismantling criminal networks and curbing violent crimes across Benue State and the North-Central region.
