The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has inaugurated a new state secretariat in Lagos and admitted new members as part of efforts to strengthen its structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The secretariat, located on Opebi Road in Ikeja, was inaugurated on Monday in the presence of party leaders, stakeholders and members from across the state.

A member of the party’s Board of Trustees and presidential aspirant, Olajide Filani, said the move reflects the party’s commitment to expanding its grassroots presence and providing a credible alternative for Nigerians.

He said the new secretariat would serve as the operational hub for the party’s activities in Lagos State and support efforts to deepen democratic participation.

Filani added that the influx of experienced politicians into the party demonstrated growing confidence in the YPP’s vision of inclusive governance and economic development.

He urged members to remain committed to the party’s ideals of discipline, unity and grassroots mobilisation ahead of future elections.

Speaking on behalf of the new members, Oludare Falade said they joined the party because of its commitment to youth inclusion, internal democracy and peaceful coexistence.

He pledged the support of the new members in strengthening the party and promoting its programmes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
