The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has introduced a new policy that allows candidates to upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes.
This follows the integration of JAMB’s e-Facility platform with examination bodies, beginning with the West African Examinations Council, WAEC.
Under the new arrangement, candidates can have their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, SSCE, results verified directly with the relevant examination bodies before the verified results are uploaded to their JAMB profiles.
JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in a statement on Sunday, said the initiative is aimed at making the process easier, faster, safer and more convenient while reducing unnecessary visits to Computer-Based Test, CBT, centres.
Benjamin also noted that the initiative was part of JAMB’s renewed commitment to customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery.
According to the Board, the new system would also address challenges associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.
JAMB explained that, through the integration of its e-Facility platform with examination bodies, candidates’ results could be verified directly against the records of the issuing examination bodies before being downloaded into their profiles.
On how to verify and upload O’Level results, it noted that under the first stage, candidates are required to visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng, enter their National Identification Number, NIN, and click on “Verify NIN.”
They are then expected to select the number of sittings and the relevant examination body or bodies before providing their email address and GSM number and proceeding with payment through the available payment options.
After successful payment, candidates are required to provide their examination details, including examination number, examination series and examination year, after which they can verify their results and obtain a Verification Code.
For the second stage, candidates are required to send “VERIFY” followed by their Verification Code to 55019 or 66019. The result will then be uploaded, and the candidate will receive a notification.
Candidates with two sittings will be directed to their profiles on JAMB’s e-Facility platform, where they should select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload” and enter their Verification Code.
The two verified results will be displayed, after which candidates should select the required subjects, ensuring that a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects are selected, with no subject selected more than once.
Candidates should then click “Apply the O’Level Results” and, upon successful submission, receive a notification confirming the upload.
JAMB said the verification service would provide candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.
The Board said the initiative reflected the commitment of its sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to strengthening customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery.
It added that JAMB would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.
