The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has disowned a viral recruitment notice circulating on social media, directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification.
In a post shared on its X page on Sunday, the Corps described the notice as fake and unauthorised, urging applicants and members of the public to disregard it.
In the fraudulent message, applicants were instructed to report to the nearest FRSC camp between September 20 and 25, 2026, for verification, with a warning that failure to comply would result in automatic disqualification from the recruitment exercise.
However, the FRSC said it did not issue such a directive and advised applicants not to report to any FRSC office, camp or training institution based on the circulating message.
The Corps urged applicants to rely only on official FRSC communication channels for authentic information concerning the 2026 recruitment exercise.
It also warned applicants against individuals who may attempt to exploit the recruitment exercise to defraud them.
According to the Corps, applicants should not make payments, disclose personal information or click on links circulated by unauthorised persons claiming to facilitate recruitment.
The FRSC further warned that anyone found using the recruitment exercise to deceive or defraud members of the public would be reported to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities.
The Corps therefore called on members of the public to disregard the fraudulent publication and remain vigilant against recruitment scams.
