Julius Berger Nigeria Plc emerged as one of the biggest winners at the Eurocham Nigeria Annual General Meeting and Gala Awards Night 2026, winning three major awards for its contributions to Nigeria’s construction, engineering and human capital development sectors.
The company received awards in the Construction & Infrastructure, Local Content & Skills Training, and Heavy Machinery & Engineering categories at the event held at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The awards formed part of the 8th Annual General Meeting and Gala & Awards Night organised by Eurocham Nigeria, which brought together business leaders, diplomats, policymakers and other stakeholders in the European-Nigerian business community.
The organisers said the awards were determined through a public online voting process, with the winners reflecting the support and confidence of stakeholders and members of the wider public.
The Construction & Infrastructure Award recognised Julius Berger’s record in delivering major infrastructure projects across the country, including highways, bridges, industrial facilities and other landmark structures.
The Local Content & Skills Training Award acknowledged the company’s investment in technical training, skills acquisition and knowledge-transfer programmes aimed at developing Nigerian talent and strengthening local capacity in the construction industry.
Similarly, the Heavy Machinery & Engineering Award recognised Julius Berger’s technical expertise, equipment capabilities and capacity to undertake complex engineering projects.
Receiving the awards on behalf of the company, the Region West Technical Manager, Engr. Christl Thomas, expressed appreciation to Eurocham Nigeria for the recognition.
Thomas dedicated the awards to Julius Berger’s employees, clients, partners and other stakeholders, saying their support and commitment had contributed to the company’s continued success.
He said the recognition would encourage the company to continue raising standards in project delivery while pursuing innovative, sustainable and high-quality engineering solutions that contribute to Nigeria’s development.
The latest recognition further strengthens Julius Berger’s position as a major player in Nigeria’s infrastructure development and engineering sector, with its activities spanning project delivery, local content development, technical skills training and engineering services.
Eurocham Nigeria also described the gala as a celebration of corporate excellence, innovation and partnership, noting that the event provided an opportunity to highlight the strength of the European-Nigerian business ecosystem.
For Julius Berger, the three awards marked a significant achievement and further recognition of its longstanding contribution to Nigeria’s construction and engineering industry.
