Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria to Unveil Club, Launch Wuse Market Clean-Up

The Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria will officially unveil its organisation in Abuja on Saturday, October 17, alongside a sanitation campaign at Wuse Market.

The club, in a statement dated October 12, said the unveiling would form part of a two-day programme beginning on Friday, October 16, with its second Annual General Meeting.

The meeting will bring together delegates from the club’s state and city chapters to discuss its activities and organisational development.

According to the statement, members will begin Saturday’s programme with aerobic sessions and a novelty football match before proceeding to Wuse Market for a clean-up campaign.

As part of the initiative, the club said it would donate industrial refuse bins and other sanitation materials to the market’s leadership to support environmental cleanliness.

The club’s National President, Charles Ojugbana, said the outreach aligned with its philanthropic objectives, particularly efforts to support vulnerable and less-privileged members of society.

He added that the organisation was drawing inspiration from Nigerian players of Arsenal heritage, including Nwankwo Kanu, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze, to enhance the experience of football supporters.

The unveiling ceremony is expected to attract prominent personalities from different sectors, including former Senate President Bukola Saraki, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, Senator Dino Melaye and former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu, according to the statement.

The club also disclosed plans to embark on a public awareness campaign for children with Down syndrome in March 2027, to coincide with the commemoration of World Down Syndrome Day.

Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria said it operates through a Board of Trustees, a National Executive Committee and a General Assembly, which serves as its highest decision-making body.

The organisation added that it maintains a digital membership database to facilitate its administration and coordination of members across the country.
